Meet our team members below:
Dr. Friede Wells
Founder and Veterinarian
January 26th, 1934- August 17th, 2022
Dr. Wells founded Bryan County Animal Hospital in 1966. She held degrees from Germany, Ohio State, and Oklahoma State University. Dr. Wells’ favorite part of being a veterinarian was helping people and animals. When Dr. Friede was not at her hospital she was enjoying time with her family whom she made Sunday dinner for every week. She was a dedicated and talented veterinarian who touched many lives. Dr. Friede will be greatly missed by her family, clients, and staff.
Dr. Chuck Holder
Associate Veterinarian, Veterinarian
Dr. Holder has been with Bryan County Animal Hospital since 1992. An OSU graduate, Dr. Holder enjoys helping all animals and serving the community. In his spare time, Dr. Holder likes woodworking and being with his wife and pets; several cats and dogs.
Dr. Billy Wells
Associate Veterinarian, Veterinarian
Dr. Wells joined Bryan County Animal Hospital in 1996. He holds degrees from Ross University -1998 and OSU-1994. Dr. Wells chose a career in Veterinary medicine to follow in his parents’ footsteps. He enjoys helping the animals.
When not at BCAH, Dr. Wells enjoys spending time at the lake with his family, hunting and fishing. He and his family are the proud owners of several pets, including Ben the Lab, Henry the Aussie mix, and Izzy the Texas Heeler (Plus all of his wife’s cats!). Additionally they raise multiple cattle and Beaudro the Horse.

David
Veterinary Technician, Veterinary Assistant
David started at Bryan County Animal Hospital in 1987. One of his favorite parts about working in veterinary medicine has been the cows. When David’s not at the clinic, he and his working dogs can be found on his ranch.
Krista
Certified Veterinary Technician, Veterinary Technician, Veterinary Assistant
Krista joined the Bryan County Animal Hospital team in 1996. She has a degree from Dallas Community College and enjoys doing dental work at the clinic. In her free time, Krista can be found hanging by the pool with her husband and their Husky, Lily.
Jaycie
Inventory Manager
Jaycie joined the Bryan County Animal Hospital team in 2004. Her lifelong passion for working with animals is displayed outside of the clinic as she shares her home with several hunting dogs, cattle, horses, chickens, and pigs. She also has a Texas Heeler named Josie! In her free time, you can find her spending time with family, fishing, riding horses, and hunting.
Kristi
Veterinary Technician, Veterinary Assistant
Kristi joined the Bryan County Animal Hospital team in 2016. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is the PUPPIES (well, and she enjoys all of the other animals, too!) When not at work, Kristi enjoys riding horses, raising dogs, and spending time with her family, and loyal guard dog, Ruby.
Cheyanne
Hospital Manager, Veterinary Assistant, Receptionist, Animal Care Attendant
Cheyanne started at Bryan County Animal Hospital in 2020. She holds a bachelor of arts degree from UNT in Denton. Her favorite part about working with animals is being an advocate for them since they can’t help themselves. When not at the clinic, she can be found lifting weights, target shooting with her husband, or watching a favorite tv show. Cheyanne lives by the same dichotomy as her kitties. She has 6 inside/outside cats who love lazing around on her porch when they aren’t attacking random objects around her house.
Glenna
Veterinary Assistant, Receptionist, Animal Care Attendant
Glenna joined Bryan County Animal Hospital in 2022. She graduated from SOSU in the same year, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. With her strong educational background and love for animals, Glenna brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our clinic.
Glenna has a genuine appreciation for the “family” environment and the “small town” feel of our clinic. She thrives in a close-knit community and is committed to providing compassionate care to all our patients. Her warm and welcoming nature, combined with her knowledge and experience, makes Glenna an invaluable asset to our team.
When Glenna is not working at the clinic, she enjoys spending quality time with her furry companions. Her household is filled with the delightful presence of an Australian Shepherd named Penny, a Terrier named Sugar, and a Shih Tzu named Friede. Additionally, Glenna is a proud cat parent, sharing her home with seven feline friends. Her love for animals extends beyond her professional life, making her a perfect fit for our team.
Angela
Veterinary Assistant, Receptionist, Animal Care Attendant
Angela is an enthusiastic addition to the Bryan County Animal Hospital team, having joined in 2022. Angela finds fulfillment in her role as a caregiver and educator for pets and their owners. She is committed to providing exceptional care for animals and takes pride in helping pet owners better understand their furry companions. Angela chose a career in veterinary medicine because it allows her to combine her passion for animals with her desire to assist and educate pet owners in providing the best care possible. Her upcoming journey into motherhood further fuels her dedication to promoting the well-being and understanding of both human and animal families.
Beyond her dedication to animal care, Angela has an exciting personal milestone on the horizon. She is eagerly awaiting the arrival of her second child, due in October 2023. In her leisure time, Angela indulges in grooming her three dogs and embarking on horseback rides with her family. These activities not only bring her joy but also contribute to her well-rounded understanding of animals and their needs.
Emma
Veterinary Assistant, Receptionist
Emma joined the Bryan County Animal Hospital team in 2024 and quickly became a friendly face at both the front desk and in the treatment area. As a veterinary assistant and receptionist, she enjoys helping pets and their people feel comfortable and cared for, especially when it comes to her favorite challenge, spicy kitties.
Emma is currently a veterinary nursing student and is passionate about continuing her education in animal care. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys crocheting, baking, and spending time with her own pets, including her Labrador retriever, Millie, and her rat, Peanut.
Gracee
Veterinary Assistant
Gracee joined the Bryan County Animal Hospital team in 2023 and loves the strong sense of community and family-like atmosphere within the clinic. She enjoys helping local people and their pets and takes pride in being part of a team that truly cares.
In her spare time, Gracee enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. She has the sweetest Pittie named Snag, and a fun fact about him is that she helped deliver him via C section and bottle fed him from day one. She also has several hounds and various hunting dogs that keep her busy outside of work.
Kirsten
Veterinary Assistant
Kirsten joined the Bryan County Animal Hospital team in 2025 and brings a strong sense of compassion and dedication to veterinary medicine. Her favorite part of the field is knowing that knowledge and empathy can be combined to ease an animal’s pain while also giving their owners peace of mind. She is passionate about advocating for animals when they cannot speak for themselves and loves working alongside a team she proudly considers family.
Kirsten is a graduate of Calera High School and is currently attending Murray State College, where she plans to pursue the veterinary nursing program. She chose veterinary medicine because of a lifelong desire to help and heal animals, a passion that has only grown stronger over the years.
Outside of the clinic, Kirsten enjoys expressing her creativity through art, getting lost in a good book, and making meaningful memories with friends. She has three cats named Patches, Peaches, and Momma, who love cuddling and treats. Patches also knows a few tricks. One of her favorite animal movies is the classic Barnyard, and a fun fact about Kirsten is that she served as President of the Calera National Honor Society during the 2024 to 2025 school year.
Keilen
Receptionist
Keilen became part of the Bryant Creek Animal Hospital team in 2024 and has been loving every moment of it! Whether it’s learning something new each day, working alongside an incredible team, or helping animals feel their best, veterinary medicine is truly where Keilen belongs.
Currently studying Animal Science Pre-Veterinary at Oklahoma State University, Keilen is passionate about animal care and excited to keep growing in the field. Getting hands-on experience at BCAH is just one step toward a future dedicated to helping pets and the people who love them.
When not at work or studying, Keilen enjoys shooting pool, dancing, and hunting. But even in her free time, conversations often turn to veterinary medicine—it’s a passion that never fades!
At home, Keilen’s three dogs keep life full of fun and adventure. Max and Penelope, two Aussies with big personalities, always keep things interesting, while Roper, a loyal Blue Heeler, makes the perfect companion.
A fun fact about Keilen? She spent nine years showing lambs before college and loves to joke about her favorite saying “Ewe can’t handle all this!”
Kayla
Kayla became part of the Bryan County Animal Hospital team in September 2023 and has found fulfillment in her role from day one. Currently a sophomore at South Eastern Oklahoma State University, she is balancing her academic journey with her immersion in the world of animal care. Kayla finds joy in knowing that her work directly impacts the well-being of both people and animals. Her passion for helping others shines through in her commitment to providing exceptional service to every client who walks through their doors.
In her personal life, Kayla’s days are brightened by her animal companions, which include a horse named Poppy, an abundance of chickens, and three beloved dogs, along with her family’s cattle. With a background as a former member of the university volleyball team, Kayla infuses her work environment with her team spirit and unwavering determination.
Beverly
Receptionist
Beverly joined Bryan County Animal Hospital in 2025 and values being part of a team made up of dedicated, caring, and hardworking individuals. She loves the compassion involved in helping pets reach their best possible health and enjoys being a supportive presence for both clients and their beloved animals.
Beverly is a graduate of an Associate of Applied Science degree program, completed in 1993. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys crafting, reading, spending time outdoors, and being with family. She shares her home with two dogs, a two year old Rottweiler named Faith and a seven month old Chihuahua mix named Ellie. They love playing fetch and going on walks together. One of her favorite movies is Old Yeller.
